In the app or the console
You can delete your HelloCall account yourself, from the HelloCall Android app or from the console in a web browser. Both work the same way:
- Sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings, then Profile.
- Open Danger zone and choose Delete my account.
- Read the list of what will happen to each of your organisations, type delete and confirm.
The account is deleted at once and you are signed out on every device. If you are the only admin of an organisation that other people still use, HelloCall asks you to make one of them an admin first (Settings, Users), or to unregister that organisation, so that nobody is left locked out of it. The screen tells you which organisation it is.
By email
If you cannot sign in, write to support@hellocall.ai from the email address of the account and ask for it to be deleted. We only act on a request that comes from the account's own address, and we may write back to confirm it is you. We delete the account within 30 days of the request, usually much sooner, and reply when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your account: your name, email address, the link to your Google sign-in, your password (we only ever held a salted hash of it) and your sign-in sessions on every device.
- Your place in every organisation you belong to, and the support tickets you raised.
- Every organisation where you are the only member, with everything in it: call flows, agents, phone numbers, connected Plivo accounts and their stored credentials, contacts, campaigns, scheduled calls, voice recordings you uploaded, call history and transcripts, API keys and settings. Any wallet balance left in such an organisation is forfeited. Numbers rented directly on your own Plivo account stay there until you release them in Plivo.
What is kept
- Payment and tax records. Records of paid wallet top-ups, plans and device orders (amounts, dates, invoice numbers and GST details) are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires, up to eight years, and then deleted. They are not used for anything else. Razorpay, which processed the payments, keeps its own records under its own policy.
- Organisations you share with others. They carry on without you, and keep their own data, including calls and records created while you were a member.
- Call recordings on a Plivo account. Recordings are made and stored by the telephony provider on the organisation's Plivo account, and follow Plivo's retention.
How long it takes
- From the app or the console: immediately.
- By email: within 30 days of your request.
- Our database's point-in-time recovery copies roll off within 30 days, after which nothing of the deleted account remains apart from the records kept for tax law.
Leaving one organisation instead
To stop being part of one organisation but keep your account, open Settings, Profile, Danger zone and choose Leave this organisation. An admin can also remove you from Settings, Users. More about what HelloCall collects and why is in the privacy policy.
