FAQ

Questions, answered

154 questions about HelloCall — the general ones first, then every part of the console. Filter by any word in a question or its answer.

General

What is HelloCall?

An AI phone-call platform. You draw a call as a workflow — what to say, what to ask, what to do with the answers — and HelloCall answers and places calls on your numbers with it: listening, understanding, speaking in a natural voice, looking things up in your systems, and writing everything down.

Who is it for?

Any business that takes or makes a lot of routine calls: clinics, salons, restaurants, shops, real-estate and service businesses, support desks, collections and sales teams. No technical skills are needed to build a workflow — describe it in words and HelloCall drafts it.

What can HelloCall do on a call?

Greet callers, answer questions from your FAQ, collect details, understand keypad presses, check your systems through an API, book callbacks, hand over to a person, send a WhatsApp or an email to your team, summarise the call, and save the caller to your contacts.

How much does it cost?

Pay as you go is ₹2 per started minute with no fee. Yearly plans charge per second: Pro is ₹6,000 a year at ₹1.20 a minute, Pro Max ₹15,000 a year at ₹0.60 a minute. AI tokens are ₹250 per million in and ₹500 per million out. See Plans, wallet and billing.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new organisation gets ₹100 of credit at the Pro rate, with no card needed, and browser test calls are free.

What does HelloCall not charge for?

Calls that do not connect, browser test calls, team members, workflows and numbers you add. Talk time on your own SIM in a local modem is not charged either — only the AI tokens.

Which languages does HelloCall speak?

251 languages and locales. 144 have natural synthesised voices — including Hindi, Bangla, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Indian English — and the rest work with your own recordings. Each workflow has one language; Translate & duplicate makes a copy in another.

Which phone numbers can I use?

Numbers on your own Plivo account (bought in the console or imported), and SIM cards in USB modems on a computer running the HelloCall desktop app. Both work the same way once imported.

Can I keep my existing number?

Yes, in two ways: import it if it is on your Plivo account, or put its SIM in a local modem — the calls then go out and come in on that very number, on your existing mobile plan.

Can it answer incoming calls and make outgoing ones?

Both, with the same workflows. A number’s incoming workflow answers it; the Call button, scheduled calls and campaigns call out.

Can the AI hand a caller over to a person?

Yes. The Transfer to human step rings one number or a list, and if nobody answers the call carries on so the agent can take a message. Transfers work on Plivo numbers.

Can it work with my booking system or CRM?

Yes. The Call an API step calls your system during or after the call, and uses the reply. DataMold forms and WhatsApp through Wago connect without any code.

Do callers know they are talking to an AI?

That is up to you — you write every word the agent says, starting with the greeting. Many businesses say so up front (“This is the virtual assistant of …”), which callers tend to appreciate.

How do I sign in?

With a Google account. There is no separate HelloCall password. Colleagues join when an admin adds their Google email under Settings → Users.

Is my data secure?

Sign-in is through Google. Credentials you give HelloCall — your Plivo token, secrets, integration keys — are encrypted and never shown again; API keys are stored only as a fingerprint. Each organisation’s data is kept in its own separate store, and calls and transcripts are deleted after 30 days.

How long do you keep call data?

30 days for call records, transcripts and collected values, then they are deleted automatically. Recordings stay on your own Plivo account. Send anything you want to keep to your own systems with a step below End call.

Are calls recorded?

Only when recording is switched on for the number (Call tuning, or for every number under Settings → Organisation → Calling defaults). Recordings are kept on your Plivo account. Transcripts are kept for every call for 30 days.

Can I use HelloCall on my phone?

Yes. The console works in a phone’s browser — every page fits a small screen. Designing large workflows is easier on a computer.

Do I need to install anything?

No, a browser is enough. The desktop app (Windows, macOS, Linux) is only needed on a computer with local SIM modems.

How many calls can run at once?

On a Plivo number several calls can run together; a campaign dials up to 10 at a time from one line. A SIM in a local modem carries one call at a time, so add SIMs for more.

What happens when my wallet runs out?

New calls are not connected, and callers hear your “wallet is empty” message. A call in progress that uses up the balance ends with the same message. The balance never goes negative. Add credit under Settings → Wallet & billing.

Do I get receipts?

Yes. Every payment has a PDF receipt under Settings → Wallet & billing → Payments, with your billing address and GSTIN from Settings → Organisation.

Can I use HelloCall outside India?

Yes. Plivo numbers are available in India, the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore and the UAE, workflows speak 251 languages, and your working hours follow your own timezone. Payments are in rupees through Razorpay.

What is the difference between a workflow and an agent?

A workflow follows the steps you drew, every time — it is how HelloCall calls are built. An agent is an older, free-talking AI set up with one system message; it still works for a number with no workflow, but new work should use workflows.

Can the agent speak in my own voice?

Yes. Record or upload your own audio for any spoken step, and with an Inworld account connected, even the values (names, dates, amounts) can be read in your own cloned voice.

How do I get help?

Raise a ticket under Settings → Support tickets in the console — the team replies there and may call you. The support email address is at the bottom of every page of this site.

Getting started

Read the chapter →
Do I need a credit card to try HelloCall?

No. Every new organisation starts with ₹100 of credit at the Pro rate. Choose a plan when you want to add more.

Do I need a phone number before I can try it?

No. You can build a workflow and talk to it with a free browser test call before you have any number.

How long does it take to get the first call working?

With a Plivo account ready, about fifteen minutes: import a number, describe a workflow, test it, and set it as the number’s incoming workflow.

Can my whole team use it?

Yes. Add colleagues by their Google email under Settings → Users; there is no charge per member.

Is there an app?

The console works in any modern browser, on a computer or a phone. The desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux is for running local SIM modems.

Phone numbers

Read the chapter →
Does buying a number use my HelloCall wallet?

A HelloCall number is paid from the wallet: the first month when you buy it, then every month after. A number on your own Plivo account is not — Plivo charges its setup fee, monthly rent and carrier charges there. Either way the wallet pays HelloCall’s own usage: the connected seconds of a call and the AI tokens it uses.

My HelloCall number does not appear in the Call dialog. Why?

A number bought from Crawlink takes incoming calls only until Crawlink switches outgoing calls on for it. Ask Crawlink support; once it is on, the number shows in the Call dialog and campaigns can use it.

Why does my number show “Not routed”?

It has no incoming workflow, so it cannot answer calls. Press Not routed · Set up now to pick a workflow or create one, or set it in the Routing dialog.

Can one workflow answer several numbers?

Yes. Choose the same workflow in each number’s routing. A workflow can also be used for incoming and outgoing calls at once if its Used for setting is Both directions.

I detached a number. Why is Plivo still charging me?

Detach from HelloCall only stops it answering here; the number is still rented on your Plivo account. Use Release at Plivo (or release it in the Plivo console) to stop the rent.

Why can’t I choose my local number in the Call dialog?

A local number places calls through the desktop app on the computer its modem is plugged into. Open the console in that app, or in a browser on that same computer while the app is running. Elsewhere the line is listed but disabled, with the reason.

Which countries can I buy numbers in?

HelloCall numbers: the countries listed in the buy dialog, which HelloCall chooses. On your own Plivo account: India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, in the types Plivo stocks there (Local, Toll free, Mobile, National). Some require compliance documents before the number can take calls.

Callers get cut off before they finish speaking. What do I change?

Open Call tuning and raise Pause before answering (ms) — for example from 700 to 1000. It is how long the caller must be silent before the agent replies.

Are calls recorded?

Only when Record calls is on in the number’s Call tuning. Recordings are made and kept on your Plivo account; HelloCall plays and downloads them from the call’s details without storing a copy. Transcripts are kept for every call either way.

I removed a local line by mistake. Is it gone?

No. Remove line returns the SIM to Settings → Local modem as not enabled and keeps its call history. Enable it again from its modem card and set its routing.

Which modems work with HelloCall?

SIMCom SIM7600-series USB 4G modems, which carry call audio over USB. The HelloCall USB modem in the console’s device store is one. Other dongles may dial but cannot carry the conversation — Run checks tells you.

Do I pay HelloCall per minute for calls on my SIM?

No. A local-modem call is not charged talk time by HelloCall; your mobile plan pays the carrier. The AI tokens a call uses (for example a HelloCall Agent or a summary) are still charged at your plan’s token rates.

My SIM is plugged in but not in the phone numbers list. Why?

New SIMs are only detected. Enable it from its card under Settings → Local modem. If the modem is not there either, check the desktop app is running and signed in on that computer.

The modem card says “Number not reported by the SIM”.

Many SIMs do not store their own number. Use Set SIM number, or type the number when you import the SIM. To find it, make a Test call to your own mobile and read the caller id.

Why does my local number show Offline?

The desktop app is not running, the computer is off or asleep, the modem is unplugged, or the modem is switched off in its settings. Hover over Offline on the Phone numbers page for the exact reason.

Incoming calls ring but nobody answers. What is wrong?

Check three things: the app is signed in on the modem’s computer, Answer incoming calls automatically is on in the modem’s settings, and the number has an Incoming workflow in its routing. Missed calls are filed in Call history with the reason.

How many calls can one SIM make?

One at a time, and up to 200 outgoing calls and 200 SMS a day. For more, add more SIMs — several modems on one computer work together.

Can a local-number workflow transfer the caller to a person?

Not yet: a SIM call cannot be bridged to a second number. Use a Plivo number for workflows with a Transfer to human step.

Do I have to keep a browser tab open for campaigns on a SIM?

Something on the modems’ computer has to dial. The desktop app does this even with its window closed, because it keeps running in the tray. In a plain browser tab, keep the tab open while the campaign runs.

The test call rings but I hear nothing.

Run Run checks and look at USB call audio. If it fails, the modem cannot carry call audio over USB. Try the Echo test after re-plugging the modem, and Reset modem if it persists.

The desktop app

Read the chapter →
Do I need the desktop app?

Only on a computer with local modems (SIM cards in USB modems). With Plivo numbers, a browser or phone is all you need.

I closed the window. Is HelloCall still running?

Yes — it keeps running in the system tray (the menu bar on a Mac), answering calls and dialling campaigns. Use Quit HelloCall in the tray menu to stop it.

Why does sign-in open my web browser?

Google does not allow sign-in inside an app window. The app opens your browser, you sign in there, and the browser hands the app a one-time code. Your password never passes through the app.

Will my local numbers work after a restart?

Yes, if Start when I sign in to this computer is on (it is by default). The app starts in the tray, already signed in, and the modems come back on their own. Make sure the computer does not sleep.

Which operating systems are supported?

Windows and Linux (64-bit) and macOS. The download buttons are on Settings → Local modem while the app is not running on the computer you are using.

Can I use the app on more than one computer?

Yes. Each computer runs its own app with its own modems; every SIM is imported once and then shows its online status wherever you look. Campaigns on a local number are dialled from the computer that has that SIM.

Is it safe to leave the app running?

Yes. The app only accepts connections from the same computer, uses a new key every time it starts, and keeps your sign-in in its own local storage. It carries the call audio to HelloCall over an encrypted connection.

How do I update the app?

Download the latest installer from Settings → Local modem and install it over the old one. Settings and sign-in are kept.

Device store and devices

How do I use a coupon code?

In the Buy a HelloCall modem dialog, type the code under Coupon code and press Apply. The price box shows the coupon’s saving; it comes off after the offer and before GST. A coupon can have a use limit and an end date — the dialog tells you if a code has expired, has been used up or is not for this purchase.

How much does the HelloCall USB modem cost?

₹11,500 list price, less the current offer (5% to 12% off), plus 18% GST on the offer price — between ₹11,941.60 and ₹12,891.50 in total. The exact figure is shown before you pay.

Is GST charged on the list price or the discounted price?

On the discounted price. The discount comes off first, then 18% GST is added.

Can I order several modems at once?

Yes — up to 10 in one order, all at the same offer. For more, place a second order or write to support about a bulk price.

Does the offer change?

From time to time — it is always between 5% and 12% off, the same for everybody. The buy dialog shows the current offer and until when it is valid.

Does the modem come with a SIM?

No. Use your own SIM with a voice plan — its calls go out on that plan. Turn off the SIM’s PIN lock before inserting it.

How do I pay?

Through Razorpay, by UPI, card or net banking, from Buy a modem on Settings → Local modem or Settings → Plan. You get an order number when the payment succeeds.

When will the modem show under Devices?

Once the HelloCall team ships it and assigns it to your organisation. Until then, your order number is the reference for any question — raise a ticket under Settings → Support tickets.

Can I use a modem I bought elsewhere?

Yes, if it is a SIM7600-series modem with call audio over USB. It works as a local modem the same way; it just will not appear under Settings → Devices & orders, which lists modems bought from HelloCall.

What do I do if the modem is faulty?

Run Run checks on its card under Settings → Local modem, then press Raise a ticket on the device under Settings → Devices & orders and describe what you see.

Do I have to draw the whole workflow by hand?

No. Give a new workflow a description and the first draft is built when you open it; after that, describe changes in the prompt box or by voice. Drawing by hand is for fine-tuning.

I changed the workflow. Why do callers still hear the old version?

Changes go live when you press Save. Until then the canvas is a draft — look for the dot beside the workflow’s name.

I changed the voice. Why do some lines still sound like the old one?

Lines are recorded when you save. After changing the language or voice, select nothing on the canvas and press Regenerate all audio in Workflow settings.

Why is there a pause before the value in “Your total is {amount} rupees”?

A {variable} is spoken live and joined to the recorded words around it. Put it at the end — “Your total, in rupees, is {amount}” — so there is only one join, at a natural pause.

Can one workflow speak two languages?

A workflow has one language. Make a copy per language with Translate & duplicate, and route each number (or campaign) to the right one — or use an Ask Question step to choose, then a Workflow step to run the chosen language’s flow.

Do test calls cost money?

Browser test calls do not draw on your wallet, and end after five minutes. AI work in the designer itself — drafting, polishing, translating — uses tokens at your plan’s AI rates.

Can two people edit the same workflow?

Yes, but the last Save wins. Agree who is editing, and use Lock on a workflow that is live so nobody changes it by accident.

How do I undo a save?

There is no version history to roll back to. Before a big change, Duplicate the workflow and edit the copy; switch the number’s routing to it when it is ready.

Can I use my own recorded voice?

Yes, on any spoken step: Record or upload a voice instead. Record in the browser or upload a file, trim it, and save. The text remains the transcript and the fallback.

What happens to steps after End call?

They run after the caller hangs up — summaries, emails, API calls, saving to a party. Steps that need a caller (Speak, Ask Question, Transfer) cannot run there and are skipped.

Workflow steps

Read the chapter →
What is the difference between Condition and Match?

Condition tests values (equal, greater than, contains, empty …) and has two lines, true and false. Match has one line per value of a single variable, plus “no match”. Use Match under an Ask Question step; use Condition for numbers, flags and anything else.

How does Ask Question understand different ways of saying yes?

List the possible answers — for example yes and no. AI maps what the caller said onto one of them in any language: “sure, go ahead”, “haan ji” and “okay” all land on yes. Add a note for the AI for readings only you would know.

Which steps can run after the call has ended?

Steps that need no caller: Call an API, Set variable, Get party info, HelloCall Agent, Summarize call, Extract variables, Save to party, Datamold, Send Wago Message, Notify on WhatsApp and Notify on email. Speak, Ask Question, FAQ and Transfer cannot.

Why is the Datamold, Wago, ChatGPT, Inworld or Gemini step missing from my palette?

Integration steps appear only when the integration is switched on and connected under Settings → Integrations — that includes the ChatGPT, Inworld and Gemini agent steps, which need their provider connected with a key. Notify on email appears when the platform mailbox is set up.

How do I use an API key in a Call an API step without exposing it?

Store it in Settings → Secret store and write {{name}} where it goes, for example in an Authorization header. The value is added only as the request is sent and never appears in the workflow, the transcript or the logs.

Can the agent read out a price from my system?

Yes. Use Call an API to fetch it into a variable, then a Speak step with the variable at the end of the line: “The price is {price}”.

Why does a Speak step using {party.name} show a problem?

Party details are only filled in by a Get party info step. Add one above the first step that uses {party.…}.

What happens if nobody answers a transfer?

By default the call carries on at the step below the Transfer, so you can offer to take a message or try another number. Branch on {human_transfer_state} to tell no_answer from busy or rejected.

Calls and call history

Read the chapter →
Why is my call history empty?

Call history shows one phone number at a time — choose the number at the top. Calls older than 30 days are deleted, and browser test calls are not listed under a number.

How long are calls and transcripts kept?

30 days. Send anything you need to keep longer to your own systems with a step below End call — Call an API, Notify on email or Save to party.

Can I export my call history?

There is no export on Call history. A campaign’s Report downloads its contacts and call log as an Excel file; for everything else, have your workflow send each call to your own system as it ends.

Why does a call show a cost of zero?

Calls on a local modem are not charged talk time, browser test calls are free, and a call that never connected costs nothing. AI tokens, when used, are shown separately in AI tokens.

Where is the recording?

In the call’s details under Recording, when the number had Record calls on at the time. Turn it on per number in Call tuning, or for every number under Settings → Organisation → Calling defaults.

What does “no-balance” mean?

The wallet could not fund the call, so it was refused and the caller heard your “wallet is empty” message. Add credit under Settings → Wallet & billing.

How do I see who called when the number is not in my parties?

The caller’s number is always shown. Add them under Parties (or use a Save to party step) and their name appears on every later call.

Can I call someone back from the history?

Yes — the round phone button on a row in Recent calls on Home opens the Call dialog with the same line, workflow and number.

Why won’t my campaign start?

It needs at least one contact on the list, an active phone number and an active workflow for outgoing calls. It will also only dial inside its calling hours — outside them it waits as Outside calling hours.

Can a campaign call before 9 am or after 7 pm?

Set Calling starts and Calling ends to any half hour from 00:00 to 23:30 in the campaign’s settings — 09:00–19:00 is only the default. Call now on a single contact can ring someone outside the window after you confirm.

Can I stop a campaign calling on weekends?

Campaigns call every day inside their hours. Pause it on Friday evening and Resume it on Monday.

How do I use data from my spreadsheet in the call?

Every column besides the phone and name becomes a variable, named in lower case with underscores — a column “Order ID” becomes {order_id}. Use it in a Speak step, a Condition or an API call.

I uploaded the wrong file. How do I undo it?

Every row from that upload carries the same group id chip. Choose Remove group #id on any of them to remove the whole batch; anyone being called at that moment stays.

Will someone be called twice?

Not while they are waiting: a number already on the list is skipped. After their call has finished, they can be added again deliberately for another round.

Does pausing hang up on people?

No. Pause stops new calls; calls already connected finish normally.

How much does a campaign cost?

The same as any call: talk time at your plan’s rate plus AI tokens, from your wallet, only for calls that connect. On a local modem there is no talk-time charge. The campaign page shows the money spent so far.

What happens if the wallet runs out mid-campaign?

A call is only placed when the balance can fund at least a minute. Each contact the campaign reaches while it cannot is recorded as a failed attempt (“Wallet balance is too low to place the call”) and is retried only if it has tries left. Top up before a big campaign; if it runs dry, Pause, add credit and Resume — and add any finished-but-unreached numbers again.

Scheduled calls

Read the chapter →
Why did my call go out a few minutes late?

Scheduled calls are placed on the five-minute mark, so a call is made within five minutes of its time.

Can a scheduled call be made from a local modem?

Not yet — scheduled calls are placed from Plivo numbers. Use a campaign on the local line (with Schedule on its contacts) to ring someone at a time from a SIM.

What if the person doesn’t answer?

A scheduled call is tried once and then shows Not picked or Busy. For automatic retries, add the person to a campaign instead.

Which timezone are the times in?

Your organisation’s timezone, set under Settings → Working hours. The dialog shows it beside the time.

A caller asked twice to be called back. Will they get two calls?

No. A second booking for the same number and workflow within 15 minutes of an existing one is recognised as a duplicate.

Can I change a scheduled call?

Yes, while it is still Scheduled: Reschedule changes the time and details, Cancel stops it being made.

Can I import my contacts from a spreadsheet?

Not into Parties directly. You can upload a spreadsheet into a campaign, and a Save to party step in its workflow can create the parties as the calls happen.

Why is my new custom field empty in a workflow?

Party details are only available after a Get party info step, and only for parties that have a value in that field. Check {party_found} before relying on it.

Can two parties share a phone number?

No — one number belongs to one party, because the number is how a call finds its party.

How do I call everyone with a certain tag?

Create a campaign, then choose Import from party list and name the tag (or Pick contacts and filter by it).

Does deleting a party delete its calls?

No. Its calls stay in call history (for their 30 days), shown by number instead of name.

Will AI overwrite what my team typed?

No. Save to party only fills in what it heard and never blanks an existing value, and fields you map by hand in the step always win.

Settings and your organisation

Read the chapter →
How do I invite a colleague?

An admin adds their Google account email under Settings → Users → Add member. No email is sent: tell them to sign in with that Google account and they join straight away.

Can I sign in without a Google account?

No. HelloCall signs in with Google only, so there is no separate password to manage or leak.

What can a standard user not do?

Manage billing and people, edit the organisation’s details, connect integrations, and manage API keys and secrets. Everything else — numbers, workflows, campaigns, calls, parties — is open to them.

Can I run several businesses from one account?

Yes. Create an organisation per business under Settings → Organisation → New organisation and switch between them in Profile. Each has its own numbers, workflows, wallet and plan.

Can I have a lunch break in my working hours?

The Working hours page sets one opening and one closing time per day. Workflows use them to tell callers when you are open.

Why does Notify on WhatsApp say there are no numbers?

Add your team’s WhatsApp numbers under Settings → Organisation → Edit → WhatsApp numbers. The step only ever messages numbers on that list.

Where do I put our GSTIN for receipts?

In Settings → Organisation → Edit → Billing, with your billing address. Both are printed on every receipt you download.

I am the only admin and want to leave. What do I do?

Make someone else an admin first under Settings → Users; an organisation must always have at least one admin.

Why can’t I switch an integration on?

Only admins can. A standard user sees “Only an admin can turn this on.”

Do I need Wago to send WhatsApp notifications to my team?

No. Notify on WhatsApp uses HelloCall’s own number and needs nothing connected — only your team’s numbers on the organisation profile. Wago is for messaging your customers from your own number.

My Wago text message did not arrive. Why?

WhatsApp allows free text only to someone who has messaged your number in the last 24 hours. Outside that window the message is queued and sent when they write to you. Use an approved template to reach someone at any time.

Does Inworld cost extra?

Inworld bills your own Inworld account for the speech it generates. HelloCall charges nothing extra for it.

What happens to my workflows if I disconnect DataMold?

Datamold steps can no longer reach your forms, and the step disappears from the palette. Reconnect to the same DataMold organisation and they work again.

Is my DataMold or Wago password shared with HelloCall?

No. You sign in on the other app’s own page; the apps exchange a key between themselves, and it never passes through your browser. Disconnecting revokes it.

Can I use one bot on several websites?

Yes — list every website under Websites (up to ten) and paste the same line into each. With Only work on these websites on, conversations can only start from those addresses; the preview in HelloCall still works.

Where do the chats go?

Into Call history like any call, marked “Website”, with the transcript and the visitor’s details. A summary is written to the party when a phone number was given.

Does the microphone work inside the button?

Yes. The panel asks the visitor for microphone permission when they choose to call; it runs on HelloCall’s own page inside your site, so nothing on your site needs changing.

API keys and secrets

Read the chapter →
I lost my API key. Can I see it again?

No — only a fingerprint is stored. Revoke the lost key and create a new one.

How do I send the key?

In a header: Authorization: Bearer hck_… or X-API-Key: hck_….

Can an API key place calls from a local modem?

Calls placed through the API go out from Plivo numbers. Local numbers dial through the desktop app on their own computer.

Who can see a secret’s value?

Nobody, once it is saved — not admins, not the workflow, not the logs. It is only added to the request as it leaves.

Can a standard user use secrets?

Yes. Only admins can create, edit or delete them, but anyone building a workflow can reference one by name.

Can a key be limited to reading data?

Yes — choose Read only — GET requests when creating it. Access cannot be changed afterwards.

Plans, wallet and billing

Read the chapter →
Which plan should I choose?

Pay as you go (₹2 a started minute, no fee) suits light or irregular use. Pro (₹6,000 a year, ₹1.20 a minute billed per second) is cheaper for steady use. Pro Max (₹15,000 a year, ₹0.60 a minute) pays for itself past about 25 hours of calling a month.

How is a 20-second call charged?

On Pro or Pro Max, exactly 20 seconds of talk time. On pay as you go, one started minute (₹2). Plus any AI tokens the call used.

What are AI tokens and how much do they cost?

Tokens are how AI models measure text. HelloCall charges ₹250 per million tokens sent to a model and ₹500 per million written back, on every plan. A workflow of fixed lines and keypad presses uses very few.

Can I top up during the trial?

No. The trial is the ₹100 welcome credit; to add credit, choose a plan — pay as you go has no fee.

What happens when my yearly plan expires?

Calls continue at the Pro rate from your remaining balance, but you cannot add credit until you renew or switch to pay as you go.

Is there a minimum recharge?

₹100, and at most ₹1,00,000 in one payment.

Does the plan fee go into my wallet?

No. The yearly fee pays for the plan and its rate; the wallet is recharged separately and pays for talk time and AI tokens.

Can my balance go negative?

No. A call needs at least a minute of balance to connect, and a call that uses up the balance is ended with your “wallet is empty” message.

Where are my receipts?

Settings → Wallet & billing → Payments — Download receipt on any paid row. Add your billing address and GSTIN under Settings → Organisation first so they are printed on it.

Do I pay HelloCall for my Plivo number or my SIM?

No. Plivo bills your Plivo account for the number and carrier charges; a SIM runs on its own mobile plan. HelloCall charges only talk time (not on local modems) and AI tokens.

Why do you need my phone number on a ticket?

Some problems are solved fastest by talking. The team may call you on it to understand the issue or to walk you through a fix.

How do I add more information after sending a ticket?

Reply in the ticket’s comment thread. The team sees your reply alongside the rest of the conversation.

What should I include in a ticket about a call?

When it happened, the numbers involved, the workflow, and what you expected. The call’s Call events and hangup cause from Call history help most.

Is support free?

Yes, on every plan. Pro Max adds priority support on WhatsApp.

Can I raise a ticket without signing in?

Tickets are raised from the console so the team knows your organisation. If you cannot sign in, write to the support address at the bottom of this page.
